CleanSlip ("we", "us"), a product of Quolab Technologies, provides record-keeping software for dry cleaning and laundry businesses. This policy explains what information we collect, how it's used, and the choices you have. It applies both to business owners and staff who use CleanSlip directly, and to the customers whose garment and order records a business enters into CleanSlip.
1. Information we collect
Account information. When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo from Google. We don't receive your Google password.
Business information. Business name, phone number, address, currency, and logo, as entered during onboarding.
Customer records.Businesses using CleanSlip enter their own customers' names, phone numbers, email addresses, and physical addresses, along with photographs of garments and notes about garment condition.
Usage data. Basic technical data such as browser type and general activity within the app, used only to keep the service running reliably.
2. How we use information
We use the information above to operate CleanSlip: authenticating you, storing your business's records, generating receipts and QR tracking codes, sending service-related communications, and improving the product. We do not sell personal data to third parties, and we do not use customer records entered by businesses for advertising.
3. Who we share information with
We rely on a small number of service providers to run CleanSlip:
- Supabase— our database, authentication, and file storage provider. All records described above are stored on Supabase's infrastructure.
- Google — used only for sign-in (Google OAuth).
If we introduce optional features that rely on other providers in the future (for example, WhatsApp notifications or AI-powered photo search), we will update this policy before those features process personal data.
4. Data access and business responsibility
Within a business account, access to customer and order records is restricted by role: staff can only see records for the branch they're assigned to, and the business owner (and any co-owners) can see records across all branches. The business (not CleanSlip) is responsible for the accuracy of customer data it enters and for having a lawful basis to collect it — for example, informing customers that their name, phone number, and a photo of their garment will be recorded for order-tracking purposes.
5. Data retention
We retain order and customer records for as long as the account is active, since this history is part of the record-keeping service itself. Garment photos are treated differently: they're automatically deleted 60 days after an order is marked picked up, since their main purpose — resolving a dispute about an order — is time-limited, and deleting them promptly reduces the personal data we hold. The order record itself (items, price, payment, condition notes) is kept even after its photos are removed.
If a business account is deleted, associated records are removed within a reasonable period, except where we're required to retain information for legal or security reasons.
6. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. For users in Nigeria, these rights are provided under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below.
7. Cookies
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to remember your light/dark theme preference. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
8. Children
CleanSlip is intended for business use by adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as CleanSlip evolves. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page.
